3 out of 5 stars Better than expected, And Sometimes Messy   August 26, 2010
Neil Binkley
(FYI: I bought this from Tonerpals, and now my old order links to this seller. I'm imagining that it's the same cartridge)

I too was uncertain about the reviews, but decided to try the inks, considering that a full replacement with Canon ink almost covers the price of replacing the printer. Either way, if the cheap ink destroyed my printer, I'd not be taking such a financial risk.

I've used the replacement ink for about a year, and the only time I've had a probably was today, when I tried to replace one of the black cartridges. The ink was spilling lightly out of the cartridge, and in retrospect I should have handled this with gloves or at least a paper towel or sandwich bag/cellophane. I'll have to see if it spills into the printer well, but again, for the price it's worth the risk.

The cartridges have worked well enough. I haven't really printed a ton of photos with this, but the regular printing of web pages and online receipts has been fine.

The chips were included, too.

I looked at some Amazon reviews for other inkjet replacement cartridges, and they mention spilling ink, as well. I've also tried ones that require syringes (not the ones on Amazon), and they were even messier, though very cheap if you don't mind having to use syringes and gloves and inject the ink from bottles to the cartridges. That was too much for me!

3 out of 5 stars One cartridge didn't work, but I fixed it.   June 7, 2010
Jim Eggert (Boston, MA USA)
One of the cartridges (magenta) didn't print at all. So I peeled off the label at the top that you aren't supposed to peel off. It turns out that there was too much glue and it was blocking the serpentine air channel. So I just put some regular adhesive tape over the channel to cover what was supposed to be covered, then put the magenta label back over that, then one more piece of tape to hold the label down. Voila! The cartridge works fine now.

5 out of 5 stars Works great..   May 20, 2010

Works great for Canon MP830, has chips as described, no problems whatsoever, already using the second set... can't beat that price !!!

5 out of 5 stars I have used 3 of the 5 for 6 months - works great   April 16, 2010
Eric (Tulsa, OK)
I do not use much ink, I have used 3 of the 5 and they work like the Canon ones. I just print documents mostly and some pictures. So far it is great. I am going to be ordering some more soon, becuase I am running low on black. It is too cheap not to order the whole set again.

1 out of 5 stars Does NOT WORK with MP530   April 11, 2010
K. Kline (Palm Harbor, FL)
Although the description states that these cartridges include a chip and will work with the Canon MP530 printer, the ones I received do not have a chip and do NOT work with my MP530 printer. The ink cartridges came in a small plastic bubble wrap package, with each of the inks wrapped in a separate air-tight plastic. I would guess this vendor buys in bulk and fills the orders with whatever ink they have on hand.

When I tried to install them in my printer, the printer did not recognize the cartridges. Unfortunately, it was late on a Sunday and I really needed the ink, so I used these as a refill kit for my original (empty) cartridges. Note: I do not recommend this unless you enjoy ink-stained hands!

The label on the Cyan/Magenta/Yellow inks says BJC-3000/6100/6200S/6500/8200/BJ-F300/F850/S400. The label on the small Black ink says BJC-8200/S800/S820D/S9000/i990/i9950/i9900. The label on the large Black ink says BJC-3000/6000/BJ-F300/S400/S630/S4500//i550/i860 Multipass C755/F30/MP700 Image Class MPC600F.
